Brooke's 2nd Birthday

I can not believe that Brooke is two now. We had a Mickey/Minnie birthday party for her. All her friends came over to celebrate the big day with her. She had so much fun opening her gifts and blowing out the candles on her birthday cake. We had to relight one of the candles before we finished singing Happy Birthday because she blew one out. Mimi Smith, Aunt Holly and Aunt Nikki came down from Michigan for Brooke's party.

Sydney is doing great in school and is getting ready to start T-ball again. She starts practice next Tuesday.

The weather is finely getting warm here and we have been outside enjoying the nice warm weather. The girls love being outside. Sydney keeps asking when the pool is going to open now that the weather is nice. Had to tell her that it is not that warm yet. We have a few more weeks and we are going up to Michigan for Easter and will be up there for a week. We are all looking forward to going up and hoping that the new little baby will arrive before or during our trip so that we can see him. So to my sister you better tell that little one to hurry up and come.

January 2010

Sydney getting off the bus for the first time!

I can not believe how fast January went by. We had visitor this month. Mimi and Papa Krause come down for a long weekend a stayed with us. The weather was in the low 60's - 50's when they were here it was really nice. The girls loved that they were here and missed them when they left. After they left Mimi and Papa Wilson were here for a long week and the girls enjoyed them. It was in the 60's for them to for one day and that got cold here and rain.

We got snow here. About 4 to 5 inches of the white stuff. Closed most things down here and Sydney had no school for two days. Now we have been having a lot of rain and the mountains have been getting the snow.

Sydney is now riding the bus and she loves it. She does not like when I have to take her to school or pick her up she wants to ride the bus instead. She also got her second report card and did great she is doing really well in school we are so proud of her.

Brooke is now in a BIG GIRL BED and she loves it. Her room is set up with Dora. She loves Dora and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Time is just going by to fast with her. She will be two the end of this month and I can not believe that. We are going to have a birthday party for her with all her little friends.

Also over Christmas break when Mimi Smith was here we took the girls to see Alvin and the Chipmunks and it was Brooke's first time. She did great she made it though half the movie.

Shawn and I are doing great and looking forward to the warm weather it has been cold here this year.

Thanksgiving, Sydney's B-day and Christmas

I can not believe how fast the year as went. We have had a couple of busy months. We went to Michigan for Thanksgiving and when we were up there we had a little surprise party for Sydney with the family. She was so surprised. It was nice to see everybody. We decide to go up for Thanksgiving instead of Christmas. We spent our first Christmas in North Carolina and it was nice even though we did miss our families. Sydney turned six on December 12th and we had a party at the house for all her friends. She had a great time with all her friends. Mimi Smith came to North Carolina for Christmas and will be here until New Year's Day. The girls are loving her here. Papa and Mimi Krause are coming in January and we can not wait for them to come. The girls had a great Christmas and got everything they wanted from everybody and Santa. We made Christmas cookies for Santa. Sydney is still doing great in school and is now learning how to read and we can not believe how well she is doing with it. Brooke just got a big girl bed. She has a Dora room. Everybody is doing great and we hope that everybody had a great Christmas and has a Happy New Year!
