Where did the Summer Go????

I'm really bad and realize I have not blog since the last day of school.  The summer went way to fast.  We had a busy summer in the Smith house.  Shawn and I went to St. Thomas for our ten year anniversary early.  (our anniversary is in October)  Shawn's mom and dad Smith came down for the week and watched the girls so that Shawn & I could go by our self.  We went to St. Thomas on our honeymoon and ten years later we stayed at the same hotel and had a great time.  The girls had a blast with Mimi & Papa and Aunt Nikki.  They went to Myrtle Beach for a couple of days and had a lot of fun.

 

When we came home Sydney went back up to Michigan for three weeks.  Brooke was suppose to go but she decided when we were gone in St. Thomas that she was not going and staying home with mom and dad.  Three weeks is the longest that Sydney has ever been gone and I could not wait for her to come home.  We went up to Michigan for a week to visit family and friends and to pick her up and bring her home.

 

When we were in Michigan Sydney and Shawn went up to Lansing with Mimi & Papa Wilson and spent the afternoon meeting the Spartans football players, and the coach.  They had a lot of fun.  We spent a lot of time with family and also got to see a few friends.

 

The girls have also enjoyed swimming at our pool all summer long.  They have turned into really good little swimmers.  They love going to the pool and would stay there all day if I let them.

 

It was a busy summer that went by way to fast but we did have a great summer.

Sydney's Last Day of School

I can not believe that my baby is going to be a third grader this fall.  Time sure does fly by.  She had such a great school year and did really well on her last report card.  We are so proud of her.  Now let the summer vacation start!!

Another Soccer Season Done

Another season of soccer is over with.  Sydney and her team did great they lost one game, tied one and won the rest of them.  Their last two games of the season I think were the best because they beat a team that had not lost a game for the spring season and then we had to play them again last weekend and we beat them again.  The team played great together and played hard.  It was such a fun season and look forward to fall for soccer to start again.

Memorial Weekend

Our pool down here opened Memorial weekend and the girls were so excited.  Nikki and Mike also came into town for the weekend.  It was a great weekend with family and great friends.

Brooke's Last Day of School

I can not believe that the school year is over with where did the time go to.  Brooke finished her first year of preschool and is ready for summer vacation.  She had such a great year of school, she loved her teacher and made some new friends.  I can not believe that she if four.  This fall she will be in  Pre-K and getting ready to go to kindergarten.  She can not wait for kindergarten so she can ride the bus with her sister.  It seems just like yesterday she was so little and school seemed so far away.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was so great!!!  The girls and I went and got pedicures, they made me cards at school and they got me a jewelry box for my mother's day gift.  Shawn also made dinner that night.  We grilled steak and potatoes.  I had a great day with my girls and Shawn.

Easter Break

Sorry that I'm so far behind on blogging.  Did not realize until I went in here to start one. 

For Easter/Spring Break my parents and niece came down for a visit.  It was so nice to have them here for Easter.  I made Easter dinner for all of us.  We had such a great time when they were in town that it went way to fast.  My parents were in town for a week and after they left Shawn's Dad and Mom Wilson came in for the weekend.  It was a busy week but a great week seeing family.  The girls loved having all the family in town.
