First Soccer Game Of The Season

Sydney had her first soccer game last Saturday. The first half of the game they did not do to well but the second have they were able to score some points but it was not enough for them to win. The team they played were really good. It was really HOT and by the end of the game they all had enough. Her team name is the Yellow Jackets. Here are a few pictures of the game.

4th of July, Swimming at the Pool and First Day of School

We have had a great summer in North Carolina. I just can't believe that the summer is over with and Sydney started school. Fourth of July we went to a neighborhood party that was put together by our friends this is the second year and it is a great time. We have spent a lot of time at the pool because it has been so hot down here. The girls have had a lot of fun swimming all summer long...Brooke will now go down the water slide by herself and Sydney is becoming a really good swimmer. Next summer both girls are going to get signed up for swim lessons. They will do it right at our pool which is nice. Our new back patio that we add onto the back of the house has been used a lot...we have had a lot of great friends over enjoying a drink or two. A lot of fun nights out there with great friends.

Sydney started soccer the beginning of August and she is loving it. Her first game of the season is this Saturday and soccer goes until the middle of November it is going to be a busy few months. She also started school on Wednesday...first grade I can not believe it. She is getting so big..not my little baby anymore she is my big girl! I keep telling her to stop growing please and she tells me that she will always be my baby know matter how big she gets. She got a really nice teacher and she has already made friends in her class.

Brooke is getting so big. She is also growing into a little girl not a baby anymore. She would love to go to school but I told her next fall she will go for a couple of days for preschool.

Shawn has started his new job and he loves it. I'm keeping busy with babysitting children from the neighborhood. We are all doing great and we hope that everybody else is doing great!

Our neighbor brought her daughter the blue jean diapers so she gave me some for Brooke so I had to take a picture with her in them. Too cute!!

My Fourth of July girls

May and June

It has been two busy months. Sydney finished school and Tee ball. She is now a first grader. We are so proud of her. She did great with Tee ball this year and this fall she wants to do soccor. She also has two teeth that are loose and she is waiting for them to come out.

Brooke does not have her pacifier any more. We took it away from her last week Monday and it only took two days for her to forget about it. Next we are starting potty training. She has been using the potty on and off. I think she will catch on fast too it.

Shawn started a new job this week. He is working at Bank of America working downtown. I'm not working at Hallmark anymore I'm just babysitting during the day some children from the neighborhood.

It has been really hot here! We have had 18 days straight of above 90 degree weather here. Today is the first day that it is not 90 degree's here. We have been at the pool a lot already this summer. Papa and Mimi Smith can here for a week to visit. My sister and her family stop by for a surprise visit on their way to Florida and they are coming back the end of July for a week along with my other sister. Mimi Smith, Aunt Nikki and Aunt Holly were just here for a long weekend and the girls also got to see Uncle Mike. We have had a lot of visitor but love seeing everybody.

This game she had a double header and out of both games hit very pitch that coach pitched too her except for two that she had to hit off the Tee. That was a great game for her.

I went on a field trip with Sydney to Patterson Farm picking strawberries. We had a lot of fun.
