Brooke

Brooke has been just as busy.  She is going to preschool four days a week and she loves going.  Her teacher said that she is doing really good that she is the helper in the class room.  She was also in a Christmas play at her school where she sang all of the songs that they practice in school.

She also turned five on February 28th.  It is hard to believe that my baby is not a baby anymore. For her birthday she decided that she wanted a Chuck Cheese birthday. So I schedule her birthday at 10am to get in and out before it started to get crazy and it was perfect.  She had such a great day.  Next month in April we will be signing her up for Kindergarten.  Now I will have two going all day long to school.

Brooke also tried lacrosse and decided it was not for her but instead she wanted to try gymnastic and she has now been to two classes and loves it.  She ask me everyday if she is going to class.  The class is one day a week for 45 minute.  She is learning how to do flips, cartwheels, and this week she got to go on the bars and also doing some flips on the smaller bars. (with some help from the teacher).  Her teacher told me that for only being her second class she is doing great.  Brooke also wants to do cheerleadering so I think this is a good start for her to work her way into that.  I find it so fun how both of our girls are so different.

Sydney

It had been way to long since I sent out a blog sorry so I'm going to do one on each girl.  So Sydney turned nine on December 12th (how the heck did that happen) and for her birthday party she wanted to have a roller skating party.  She invited nine of her friends and we went roller skating or should I say I watched from the side.  I don't roller skate.  Shawn got out there with Sydney, Brooke and her friends.  Everybody had a great time.

This year at school marks the first time she gets letter grades on her report card.  On the first report card she was on  A Honor Roll and the second report card she was on A/B Honor Roll.  We are so proud of her and all her hard work she does in school.

She also decided this Spring instead of soccer that she would like to try lacrosse so we thought that this is the year that she should try it and see if she liked it or not.  Well she loves it and they already had their first game last Sunday and they won.  The coach also sent me an email to tell me that Sydney did a great job in the game and he was proud of her.  She did do great in the game and almost scored an goal she did not throw it hard enough in the net but she did great and maybe this is what sport she will be playing.  We will see.

She is also in Girls on the Run which is after school two day a week and this group is for girls that are in third to sixth grade.  The program talks to the girls about their self, friends and just a great program about being positive about yourself.  Also with this program they are training to run a 5K in May.  I will also be running with her in this.  Can't wait for Sydney & I to do this together.

As you can read we are pretty busy with Sydney right now but we are enjoying every minute of it.
