Sydney's Birthday

We celebrate Sydney turning seven on December 12th. I can not believe that she is already seven time is just going way to fast. She had a fun filled birthday weekend. On Saturday December 11th she had four friends and herself got to go to build-a-bear. They all got to pick out an animal and an outfit for their animal. The girls all had a great time. Later on in the afternoon we had a few of our neighbor's over for pizza, cake and ice cream for even more celebrating. On her birthday day (December 12th) we spent the day together as a family. She opened up birthday gift's from her papa, mimi, aunts and cousins and also from her dad, mom and sister. For her birthday dinner she chose Red Robin where she told them that it was her birthday and they sang Happy Birthday to her and they also gave her ice cream. She had a great birthday weekend.

We celebrate my birthday on the 16th with dinner out and the girls and Shawn got me a cake. We are so excited here to be leaving this week to go to Michigan for Christmas and the girls are so excited for Santa Claus to come.

Weekend Trip to Bryson City, NC for Polar Express Train Ride

This past weekend we went to Bryson City with our neighbor's (Matt, Katie, Grace, Mike, Kelly, Emma, and her baby brother) and went on Polar Express Train ride into the Smoky Mountains. We also rented a cabin and stayed the night up there. The Polar Express train ride was a lot of fun. The kids all wore their pj's on the train. We were all served hot coca and a snack. There was singing, dancing and the Polar Express was read to everybody on the train. After the story was read they turned off the lights on the train to see the houses that had lights on them and we saw Santa Claus outside. We got to see Santa Claus house, the elf's houses and the church that Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus were married at. When the light came back on the train Santa was on the train. He passed out silver bells to all the kids and then came back through and ask every child on the train what they wanted for Christmas. After Santa left everybody on the train sang Christmas songs until we got to the station.

The cabin we stayed in was in the mountains we had a beautiful view. The kids were so excited on Sunday morning to see that there was a little bit of snow on the ground and that it was snowing they were hoping when we got back home that there was snow but there was none.

Everybody had such a great time and we would go back!

Grace our neighbor..her and Brooke decide to fall asleep when we were almost to the cabin after staying awake the whole car ride.
